How come people freak out when yet another "Dollar store" is struggling?

Those places are ghetto anyways. They are not even much cheaper than a real store.
Most of them are in bad enough shape to look like a fever dream.

You go some place like Big Lots and it is the worst of the worst.
Grocery aisle has stuff like expired broccoli flavored Oreos and the packaging is in some weird looking language.

Why would anyone care if those train wrecks of stores went under?

Because if the dollar store is struggling, imagine how the non dollar stores are doing. And yes, I would care if those train wrecks disappeared. They provide necessities for a niche market. And if that market. Can’t afford to shop there, there is a problem.

@nonsensiclesnail A few people have called it a "niche market."
How though?

@nonsensiclesnail Seriously though, it is just as inexpensive at Walmart or for some household items, thrift stores are less expensive.

Trust me, I live in those places.
@Punches I would but i also have a small apartment all set up in those places…. Not a permanent residence but I do like to see what there is to see. And no, second hand stores, at least where i live, are not even close to that inexpensive. Walmart is hit and miss.

@nonsensiclesnail Sometimes thrift places do be charging like they are a real store. Hit or miss, kind of like walmart.

And THEN, Goodwill asks for donations. H3ll their entire inventory is donations. AND they are 501-c
