I've said said something along those lines to a pushy cashier.
She was trying to "save" me some money by trying to get me to sign up for a store credit card.
Told her I'd save alot more by not having your credit card

@iamnikki If you sign up for credit cards to get a discount and then not ever use them that can lower your credit rating.
