Do You or Would you Shop At Thrift Stores?

I usually don't but this weekend, our local Dress For Success was selling off their overstock and I bought 4 Ralph Lauren blouses for 20.00. It was buy one get one free and the jewelry was too. I bought a necklace and bracelett. All for 27.42.

I have in the past. You can get some real bargains and good brands if you know where to shop.

@akindheart Seems easier to find those bargains after I retired and had more time especially earlier in the day before the crowds hit the stores and thrift shops. I was shopping at Goodwill on Monday mornings when it first opened. They’d have specials each week on a certain color tag (color changes each week) that you could get for half-price. So had to go in when the store first opened on Monday and go the sections where I could find my size or whatever I was looking for and look at the stuff to see if I could find that color tag. I bought a lot of stuff some brand new good brands with the store tags on them for $1.99 each (shirts especially).

@cherokeepatti i saw that people were buying fabric at Goodwill. i quilt...i was donating quite a bit but people were leaving stuff outside the store and it was a big mess. then they stopped taking books around my house.

@akindheart I donate my stuff to a local thrift shop. It’s a couple that owns it and they have another store on the other side of the city too. They do local charity too so I feel better for that

@cherokeepatti i support so many charities. all of my dress clothes go to Dress for Success. all of my household things go to Goodwill and my furniture goes to a place that helps drug addicts.
