Do u think this would work better as earrings or necklace?

Today i got this brass cat charm from an antique shop; if I'm going to make earrings out of it i should get another one. There's still one left, but this shop is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
I'm going to gift this. Do u think it's a good idea?
