Amazon account was restricted after I got a refund. How do I appeal the restriction? Not able to use any of their CS channels.

This is the first time that Amazon has restricted my account in any way and their email, neglects to explain what I did that went against their website terms. Now I can't get a CS chat open or get an Amazon CS rep on the phone.

So far all I've seen online as far as ways to appeal are concerned are articles and videos about appealing restricted seller accounts. Nothing about customer accounts.

Has anyone had their account blocked/restricted in this way and was able to successfully appeal or do you just have to wait until they decide to lift their restriction?

This is stressing me out because they also said in their email that their next move would be to suspend my account if I went against their 'Online Terms' again.

I've read that amazon has been canceling accounts for making returns. And any gift card balance one has disappears. It seems very shady.
@SooperSarah I return stuff all the time, but then I also buy a lot of things so they make their money. I have a yearly prime account too. Never had any warnings. Sometimes if I pick the wrong reason for return they try to charge me to return it, but then I select a different reason and it's free again.
I dunno, buying and returns are easy with Amazon. It's not like Best Buy where they won't take it back if you opened it.
