I went a little crazy just now (no pictures)
I have to not window shop for a long time now, not even visit Amazon, so here we go, just a list of the stuff just added to my kindle
1. Marcus Aurelius - reportedly the best translation
2. Epictetus - can't get Aurelius without this guy, these are all i ever really need from the Stoics, they're so smooth and edifying, others like Seneca are to me just not very applicable.
3. Friedrich Holderlin - the poems and fragments and the letters and essays from Penguin
4. Calvin & Luther
5. Darwin & Marx - i figured it's essential to have more giants who shaped our world in huge ways, maybe just for reference
6. Descartes & Spinoza
7. Thomas Aquinas
8. St Teresa of Avila
9. G.K. Chesterton
10. C.S. Lewis
11. Heinrich von Kleist - like Holderlin a Penguin publication of some stories, with a hopefully good introduction.
YEP, i've gone overboard, cuckoo in the ole eggshell mind, but all is ok and i'll get that Anais Nin diary volume maybe when i've come to that point in the actual reading of it which will be in at least a year, yes, i'll see if i can spend a solid year without anymore book purchases. Maybe with a extra firm resolve i could last till autumn haha
now if you need me i'll be reading with my chromebook opened to here, i'm always logged in while awake, just make sure it's important!!! ;)
