I Shop On Amazon

I bought quite a bit of stuff on Amazon on Saturday afternoon. I have Prime and they promised delivery of most of it between 7am and 10pm Monday (today). Problem is, my credit card has changed and payment was refused. I noticed on Sunday (yesterday) and updated the card details. The parcel tracker still says it's due for delivery today, but the status of it is not even set as "despatched" yet, let alone "out for delivery".

Has anyone had this situation and did the parcel come on the specified day or not? I don't particularly want to sit here until 10pm for a parcel that isn't coming. Especially not when I can be outside, traipsing around in the grey drizzle.

I've just about had it with Amazon freaking prime. That 2 day shipping we pay for often turns into a week now. I'm using Walmart more these days because they keep their promise of 2 day shipping and there's no annual fee...and many things are cheaper. I hate being held captive all day not knowing if and when my order will arrive.

@Fernie Yowser. Do you live away from a big city? I can normally order things in the evening and get them the next morning. This was slower just because of a Sunday being in the way.

@GlassDog I'm in the middle of a semi-major city. I've been paying for Prime for 8 years...only recently has this been happening.

@Fernie Hmm, that's really surprising. They've always been so good here.
@Fernie @GlassDog ive noticed that the 2 day delivery is now often extended. It is frustrating. They are trying to get peopke to purchase through prime now and fresh

@InOtterWords Blah, they've split my order up and some is coming Tuesday, some Wednesday, some Thursday, and some Friday, so I'm pretty much sitting in at home all week on my week off. :/
@GlassDog tell them.to stick it in one order

@InOtterWords A couple are despatched already, but I should be able to roll up Thursday and Friday's to all come on Friday. Least I can step out on Thursday then.

@InOtterWords They always sent things in one order...this is a new behavior...they are somehow saving money at our expense and TIME!!
...I'm this close to telling them to just "stick it!"
