I realize how incredibly privileged I am to be able to just make an emergency purchase when needed.

It’s a thought that I never take for granted. Because I never thought I’d or that we’d reach this level. We aren’t rich by any stretch of the imagination, and my washer broke, the estimate was feasibly but just talking to the repair guy it needed quite a number of parts and we’ll repair could easily reach $600 or more. At this point it would be cheaper to buy a new one or even splurge a little if I wanted an upgrade. I had the funds, I didn’t need to get into debt if I didn’t want to. I set the money aside into an account and did buy with a 0% interest and set payments to automatically withdraw from the expense account. I realize this is a privilege that not a lot of people have, even people who’ve worked their whole lives I know there are people struggling to make it to the end of the week or who take smaller meals or skip breakfast and lunch to stretch groceries for their kids.

I will forever carry this thought on my mind and do good deeds when they’re within my reach. Heck I’ve done good deed even when it meant sacrificing myself for a little bit.

My washing machine broke recently too but I plan to move to a new state and bought a used one for a cheaply as possible around 250 dollars. It isn't pretty and its loud but it does a great job. I feel the same as you though very blessed that I have a little bit here and there to move around.
