Is there a reason Amazon shipping is different?

I've ordered stuff around this time before and it would arrive before Christmas now so much stuff is saying arrives after Christmas. Is there a reason for this?

Now I am outside America. So maybe this doesnt apply. But Amazon always promised next day delivery (free) and were good as their word. But about a month back I went to order something and was quoted a three week wait. So I googled up the item back to the Chinese source. Got it a few $ cheaper and in just over a week through TEMU. Also free delivery..😷
