What was the last thing you purchased for yourself, on a whim, that you didn't really need? Do you regret it or are you happy you did?

Was it worth what you paid?

For me it was a cast iron/enamel pumpkin shaped dutch oven. I don't feel a bit bad about it. The price was very reasonable.

A new fly rod. I am very happy with it....the trout, not so much. It was worth it to me, even though it doesn't do anything one of my other rods wouldn't.
