The mayonnaise loop

As is fairly normal for me, I am experiencing a ridiculous but annoying abnormality.

They won’t bring me mayonnaise. You may think mayo is gross and that’s fine. I like it.

Three separate times I ordered it from Walmart and all went as usual until the part when I was charged for the mayo and they didn’t bring it. They cheerfully refunded, but a refund wasn’t the reason I ordered mayo.

I finally gave up and ordered from Amazon. It shipped quickly, and was scheduled for delivery this past Tuesday. It traveled from Texas to Albuquerque and Monday it was due to arrive here in Santa Fe. It did arrive in Santa Fe.

Then for reasons known only to USPS, they took it out of Santa Fe and sent it to Santa Rosa, about 2 hours away. You can send stuff TO Santa Rosa from here, but to get back here, it has to go back to Albuquerque.

So now it’s (ha ha) due to arrive today.

I am skeptical.

Update: The mayo DID arrive today. Call off the hounds.

Lol….. that’s so weird. Walmart does have some interesting slip ups when it comes to grocery delivery. Latest for me was the bonehead driver who left my groceries in a crate in the outdoor courtyard rather than the 3 flights up to my apartment door. Where I very clearly instruct them to be delivered.

Tragedy of the century, no. But after fracturing my back last year, schlepping the bags up the stairs to my apartment was not very smart on my part but I didn’t have much choice. Only good thing about it was getting a nice promo code for my next order.

Anyhoo, thanks for the opportunity to vent and I truly hope your elusive mayonnaise finally arrives! 😄
@OlderSometimesWiser I know. I know. Not even the tragedy of the day. I would likely survive without ever receiving mayo again. But I do know.
