When was the last time you asked for carbon copies from a credit card purchase?

Yes for when the internet goes down....I think

But most cards don't even have raised letters & numbers on them anymore

@Strictmichael75 Not in Europe anywhere i know of. And at least here in Norway when supermarket payment terminals are offline, the cashier will just print two copies of the receipt and ask you to sign one and add your phone number. I think the terminal submits the transaction later when it gets back online.

Most places here will just close their doors without internet

@HumanEarth It's the same in the UK. It's very strange how poorly prepared some places are for a problem that is pretty much guaranteed to happen at least occasionally.
