Underwear
Toothbrush
Comb
Pillows
Sheets
T-shirts
Dentures

@LunarOrbit Yep, all 'personal' items.

@LunarOrbit If they are in the original package, then why not?

And shirts, they can be laundered.

Now for the dentures, you could buy those and put them in the dog's mouth so when he smiles he can look really handsome.

Are you going to deny ol Spot the opportunity to look like this?

@Punches I was under the assumption the thrift store was just used stuff…nothing new or in original packaging.

I would wear a used shirt but not tshirt. A little too close to my skin. (I know…its just this creepy thing I have)

@LunarOrbit It is a mixed bag at thrift.

Some used, some brand new. Items that can be laundered are not a problem, except of course underwear that is NOT in original package.

Unless you wanted to buy some used sexy women's undies to wear over your head and masturbate while imagining who might have owned them before. 😄

@LunarOrbit I’ve bought a number of brand new items with the original store tags attached (including stores from the mall) at Goodwill and other thrift stores. I was going to Goodwill on Monday mornings right after it opened and finding some new things that I got for half-price (certain color tags each week are half-price, Monday is the best time to go). I found so many things I had to stop going.

@cherokeepatti One thing, I do not know about where you live but out here, Goodwill did away with all their sales. No half price tags, no senior day, no military, not jack crap anymore. Oh but they still ask if you want to round up. 🙄

@Punches I haven’t gone in a few months but they still had those sales in early summer.

@cherokeepatti Good thing. I do not know why they did away with all them here. Oh and of course the dressing rooms are gone so you either have to sneak your stuff in the restroom OR find a mirror and throw stuff on over your actual clothes.

@Punches I was bringing a tape measure to measure the waist of jeans and capris. Also for shirts through the bust area. You can’t always go by size, differs from brand to brand.
Punches · 46-50, F
@cherokeepatti I start with the size and at least try on, even if thrown over my own clothes.

I know there are size variations but it is a starting point usually.

You have a wild imagination! Here I’ve just been wearing them like a glove and rubbing one out while thinking about what it felt like! 😂

@cherokeepatti Yes. I’ve seen similar items at a ’thrift store’ here as well. I wouldn’t have a problem with new stuff…but the preworn stuff next to my skin irks me. Even if it is washed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@LunarOrbit You never know what gets worn and returned to retail stores any more. I worked in a Walmart and it happens, but I know it happens in other stores too, including mall stores. I heard a sorority girl talk about how her roommate didn’t want to spend a lot of money on clothes for social functions (and they have dress codes they expect them to adhere to) so she’d go to the mall and buy some nice dress or other outfit and carefully remove the tags, wear it and return it. She said she was friends with a girl that worked in one of the stores and she had a device that could snap the price tags back on like they were when she bought the clothes. And since she didn’t wear a ton of perfume there was no lingering smell of that on them.

@LunarOrbit I agree with you on,
Underwear, Toothbrush, Pillows, and Sheets, but Combs can be washed out with ammonia and T-shirts can be thoroughly washed.
As many thrift stores as I have been to over the years, I have never, ever seen dentures for sale at a thrift store.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@IM5688 Yes. But its just the thought of something worn next to my skin that someone unknown to me wore.
