An unusual shopping trip...
Yesterday by dad bought a few bottles of champagne to take home, but later realized he didn't have the right glasses to serve it in.
Today we drank another bottle at a cafe and noticed the shop of that brand was around the corner, so my dad decided to ask there if they sold empty glasses.
It was up a steep hill, so I came in a little later when they were already at the register, just in time to hear the shopkeeper say: "This is the first time someone asked to buy just the glasses."
With the empty bottle we just drank in my hand because my dad wanted to take that home as a souvenir, I replied: "You usually sell champagne with them? Can you refill this bottle to make our order a bit less strange?"
He only laughed and didn't answer yes or no though... That's a bit rude, isn't it? 🤔
