@Fatboy Because, the medical people believe obesity is unhealthy for us - and no one wants it to appear to be "normal", so we have to live with the "ideal" and the pressure to lose weight just because.
It doesn't matter that you may not be eating enough to diet in a healthy way... all that matters to them is the fact that you are overweight/obese. They don't even care about overweight people who have eating disorders because "they are fat". I might be fat... but I need help to expand my stomach enough to eat a balanced diet, too. If I happened to be skinny, you'd throw this help at me - but I get nothing, even though I've told you exactly what I eat a day... just because I'm fat.
Until eating disorders in fat people become recognised... we're just going to stagnate here.

@Fatboy No, I'm not against them. My point is that there are a lot of double standards that will go against them becoming more widely used, though.
