I am probably in a minority amongst females on this.
Mostly my legs are bare but when it is appropriate to wear stockings, I prefer stockings to tights / pantyhose.
In warm weather, I dislike clamminess around the crotch wearing tights. Stockings plus loose-fitting knickers (or none) - much more comfortable on a warm day.
Suspenders / garter belt on the right occasion. Self-supporting stockings otherwise.
Having expressed my preferences, the fact is that I spend much more in jeans and socks than in skirt / dress & stockings.
@emmasfriend stockings can look very elegant on the right occasions....you are a treasured minority and I grew up in my teens when the mini skirt became fashionable before tights/pantyhose were at all the norm!
