JUST FINE
by: Rob Paquin
All the pain
All the loss
All these things
Come at a cost
And I can try not to feel so lost
But life is lived through what’s been tossed
And here I am just spiraling
Wishing that I could sing
A happy song that kept me in
A world that lived and breathed again
I can see through all these tears
And I can reconcile all the years
But I can’t get past these pains I fear
Breaking down inside my cares
And spin it out into the bitter end
Lie and say that you’re my friend
Live it like it’s make pretend
And laugh away as I descend
And as my walls just crumble down
And as I expire without a sound
To know the things that let me down
My smile’s just an upturned frown
And so I walk into the future
Knowing that I’m cursed
And all the things I ever hoped for
Were simply just adverse
And as this world just eviserates me
And all my thoughts bleed out like wine
You can ask me how I’m doing
And I’ll simply say “Just fine.”
