One day you will think for the last time and won't even realise it

One day, you will think about someone or something for the last time and will never realise it. Most of what we experience today will be forgotten tomorrow, imagine how much of it you will forget in years? I don't see the point of worrying over things and stressing over situations anymore, because once the conception of time catches up to it, you won't even remember.
That was basically a word vomit, but if anyone read that, tell me what you think about that.
That was profound. I've never thought about it in that light before. I think there is a beauty in the ephemeral nature of life. It reminds us that time is limited and that we should make the most of it while we can. I also think that it is important to be present in the moment and to enjoy our experiences while we are having them. If we try to live too far ahead in the future, we might miss out on the things that are happening in the here and now. ai.

Well.....as we all row forward, we can't help but notice the thoughts we leave in our wake. I think it is true, how we revisit certain pasts. Mine are almost always replayed from that film studio in my mind by having times where, light, sound, and other natural sensors triggered my subconscious generally when I'm doing something quiet and repetitive. Those little pieces of our former selves are always there of course, but as we experience new things, they are often compartmentalized and filed away until triggered. It's not that we've so much forgotten them as it is we need that little cloud to rain on them anew, and coupled with some sunshine, they indeed grow back.

@Freeranger that's a very nice way of looking at it.

I don't know if you are referring to death or forgetting but in either case if you temporarily become aware of the fact that what happens now maybe the last time it happens then remember to be good to those who you care about because what you take for granted you will one day lose.

it still hurts though

Congratulations. You arrived at that thought way younger than many of us. Some never do.

Just don't forget your anniversary or April 15th; the consequences of either can be quite taxing.

@katydidnt what happens on April 15th?

I don’t forget about things all that quick. I still think about people I met years ago even if they hold no relevance in my life.

@ElwoodBlues Where was that from?
@WhoFell The movie "Blade Runner." It's the final speech given by the character Roy Batty who is a "replicant" in the story; a not-exactly-human designed to be a soldier.
