Historian, philosopher, and thinker!
There is a lot to think about in life, I've found. Profound things, the things to help you keep your farrow straight as you plough through life in the way you wish, at the speed you want to. It all is worthy of a little thought, because life is serious! Far too short for millions every generation.
I took an interest in history early, when my Dad told me stories in bed to excite me, and help me get off to sleep. He bought me lots of books about the history of Iberia, from Greek and Roman times through the Islamic period, the Reconquista, and the tales of empire.
With this there are inevitably parallel considerations to make, philosophy and religion, and it's still my singlemost obsession as I work through my bachelor's degree course at the old university of Barcelona. I'm not quite sure what I'll do after I graduate.
