just in general, what would have been considered 'normal' times a couple years ago, or current, 'new normal', pandemic world?

@dirge I would say what we are seeing right now in this new normal world. Family friends whoever we know or see kind of thing.
@Spiritseeker yeah, I suspect it'd much higher and harder for most everyone. I'm not sure if it'll ever go back to before. I wonder if there are any books about that; how life changed and never quite went back to the same from previous pandemics. I wonder if that could also explain some of the oddities I've seen mentioned on a couple documentaries.

@dirge what oddities are you referring to? I did watch the series on Amazon on the black plague. I find times like these in history very interesting.
@Spiritseeker the one that jumps to mind is old roman baths/toilet areas. they were pretty much a community sort of thing and they had virtually no privacy from one another during ... stuff. just wonder if making that time more private might have been a function of cost/ability or if it grew out of some other need/response, like dealing with pandemics over time to where now we consider that sort of setup to be weird.

@dirge you know I never really thought about that 🙇 that's a good point!
