What is it about?

@Tastyfrzz how the story of Christ predates christianity, thst Horus the ancient Egyptian god was almost like a replica of him
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
There are many who think he is a myth. Moses too. Thee gosples embellish more and more as they go along. Almost like the script of a play that is rewritten. The there is mithraism which also has similar traits and story lines. It's all rather confusing.

@Tastyfrzz the author says the bible is not to be taken literally as a real story, but more as a moral teaching
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@Summersrain absolutely. It has been changed more than there are words in it according to Spong. Friends of mine who can read latin say that the translations are wrong. There have been redactions to fit the politics of the time. Stories have been added. Some are repetitions of older stories.

@Tastyfrzz a lot of it was changed and hushed up by the church in the early centuries. People were murdered, books were burned
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@Summersrain so, what do you feel about it now?
Summersrain · 51-55, F
@Tastyfrzz I think the moral lessons in the bible are real, but the stories may well be fiction. That Christ dwells within each of us as a potential. Basically I agree with the author.

The big question is whether you think he was in fact a deity or if it is just the lessons that matter.
Summersrain · 51-55, F
@Tastyfrzz I think he is the spirit of god, whether or not he actually walked the earth as a man is another matter
