Justin Bieber has a net worth of $280 million dollars

If he gave me a million he wouldn't even notice it. *mind blown* 😒

Never made sense

We pay doctors and teachers who save lives less than athletes

It's a people's interest

@swirlie a very in depth and organized response. Informative, direct, and perfect 😄
Thank you

I was well aware of that and my point is that the people choose to spend their money there over hospitals

@swirlie I think you get my point perfectly.

Basically, we can just prioritize the important things and ensure that the medical field has enough resources to generate the services needed, because as of right now, Lebron James makes more than any doctor does, as of today, if I am not mistaken. I think you see the idea that instead of each person pushing into hospitals and only paying for services directly, which are costly, we can cover that because we know it's more important when people's lives are in danger.

The concept that is king in the western nations is individualism. This leads to people looking at that %100 and thinking about spending it on themselves and not worrying about if that $100 could literally save someone's life, which it can. You just described the potential of having all of that wealth prioritized into health care and what the idea behind many hands contributing can do. And it's a good service.

The aim is not for doctors to get money but more so for having perhaps a reserve such that people who are dying are not asked to be charged insane amounts of money just to survive. Because what that directly translates to is "you have to be rich in order for us to help you survive."
That's perhaps better for us than having a man kicking a ball into a goal paid tremendously.

The aim is not the physicians, although, rationally we can infer that people saving lives should definitely deserve more than a buncha dudes kicking the ball around. But perhaps that money can be used for the need that's presented at hospitals.
