They don't open up, they don't respond when you do.

I fade away because I don't know what else to do with someone who doesn't want a friend.

Dunno. People can become so toxic in RL , and there is all the pressure from our professional lives, being able to exchange in a leisurely way can be a relief.

As I get older I feel more closed off to people emotionally than in the past ...not intentionally either ...but I'm a better listener than I am a talker
