My friend shit talked me and said it was a joke what should I do

What HAPPNED was a mutual of mine sent me screenshots of my friend telling people to kill me off CAUDE i was mean to my friends “love” but I just stated my opinion and I never meant I hurt anyone I even told them I was sorry. My friend proceeded to tell me he was sorry and 4 minutes later I receive a ss of him telling people to kill me off and that I was ruthless and he also said” wait til she starts talking shit to you” I was so hurt and I confronted him but he doesn’t seem to care that much at all he keeps blaming me and saying cause I was rude but I just said my opinion I’m never opening up to home ever again so can someone give me some advice on what should I do should I block or forgive and forget
