is night time loneliness a thing that nothing can really be done about

i often feel lonely at night time, when the world goes dead silent...my only support mechanism, my elderly mum and dad live far away from me now...my mother rings me 3 times every day, my father rings once a week....i live in this little flat on my own, lived here 20 years now dealing with mental health problems......a personality disorder is what i have and ptsd too.

i long to have someone in my life, because there is this dark empty void inside me which is horrible...like an empty feeling...an all encompassing feeling of loneliness.....especially at nightfall as i was saying.

can nothing really be done about this horrible state? is it just something that i must endure in this life?

i'm aged 47 now.

I'm 71 and have been living alone with that same darkness lonely issue since my significant other passed 2years 4 months ago. For me the grief acts as your disorder and PTSD.
I've read many articles and received tons of useless advice and have come to the conclusion I just have to live with it. It would take an unexpected outside influence to have some affect. We cannot force such things.
