anyone else spending christmas alone for the first time

[c=BF6900]normally for christmas, my mum drives up to spend a week with me over xmas, she lives an hour away.....but because she's elderly now she won't be able to come down and spend some time with me, because she has to take things easy now...so its the first time i will be spending christmas virtually alone......my sister will drive my mum down though to bring me my christmas dinner and my mum will spend a couple of hours with me on christmas day.....so at least i will see my mum......but it will be a lonely time i guess...and i will have to be strong mentally.

me and my mum are very close and she phones me 4 times a day....i'm so frightened of the time when my mum won't be around, but she's doing ok in her health at the moment, but just slowed down because of old age.

what can i do? and what will you be doing?[/c]

No. I usually spend most holidays half with my son, half alone when he goes to his dad's. I have no family.
@AlchemyFox I have no family, either. I hope the time you spend with your son will be joyous for both of you.
I almost always spent Christmas alone. This year is no exception.
Look I'm going to get flak by people for making this suggestion but I don't care.

You say if I'm not mistaken you read a bible.

Join a church- ideally go to one that has a bible study- you are not required to be a Christian and there is no pressure to be one.

@BritishFailedAesthetic i am a roman catholic, it was suggested to me before why don't i join a church, as i haven't attended a church for a long time.
@darkmere1983 So joining a Bible believing church will be a great way for you to mert some people!

Why can't you drive the hour to be with her?
