Do you know what it’s like to be a loner?

I don’t have any real life friends. The only few friends I do have are far away to where they’re screen friends. They’re very supportive and caring of me but they aren’t available to talk most of the time. So it just feels very lonely a lot. I’m used to it but doesn’t mean I don’t like it. It’s hard to get through the days without having good friends to share anything with.

I cut myself off for a year. The last time I met a friend was last year in summer. I barely communicated with them over social media or phone as well. I'm supposed to meet two old friends I haven't seen since 2018 and it feels so strange. But I'm looking forward to it. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I mostly just interacted with my family, saw three friends maybe 3 times and the rest of time I either spent working, studying or taking walks in a forest alone. Well, I was also satisfying my social needs here on SW, getting laughs or venting. It helps a lot, actually.
