I Am a Sensitive Person

Can someone please help me. So basically I moved in with my best friend because I live with my boyfriend and his family before and his mum I didn't feel comfortable around. But now theirs tensions between my best friend and I and now everytime I try and talk to my boyfriend I can't because we haven't seen each other in roughly 3 weeks so when I call him he at a friend house and I hang up on him. I don't tell him what's wrong because I'm afraid. This is a basic understanding of what I'm experiencing so can someone please help me?
