I Am a Sensitive Person

It pains me to see people in pain and I just can't help feeling for them when they go through hard times.
I am a giver and like to help others though have a hard time with people judging me and miss interpret the gift as a bribe (for what, I don't know), thinking I have a "bad" motive for giving. The absolutely breaks my heart. I give for two reasons: because I want to help others and because giving and doing for others gives me such a joy I would never know without it.

Or let put it this way to the one who mis-judges you: "Okay, if you think I have a selfish motive, I am. I derive happiness from helping others. And such selfishness is common for both you and me. Your selfish motive is to keep everything to yourself, and not to give and share; and mine is to hand everything over to others, and not to leave things for myself. Is it well understood then?" I hope those self-appointed critics would be happy.
