I learned the hard way to not show my depression in public with friends. Lost a LOT of friends that way. I'm ashamed to even have anxiety, bipolar depression. So... I'm going to hide it from now on. No exceptions.

I love that Drs push pills at us- namely antidepressants- for any kind of thing nowadays. Migraines, anxiety, ocd with a hair pulling disorder, severe postpartum depression after seasonal depression, and all I got suggested was antidepressants for each thing. I firmly believe that depression and anxiety are symptoms of a larger problem. The problem is the world we live in.
I can't hide it when I see and feel so much this deeply. I hate Drs and therapists. They never help. What helps is me being honest and loving myself, and delving into spiritual and philosophical matters the world may care less about.
Many with disorders like these are sensitive and even old souls. We have awareness that our lives could be different, that something is missing, and there's hardly time to slow down and figure that out.
