It's A Lot More Than Sometimes.

The distance between my Inner Being (that individuation of God within, or whatever you choose to call it), and what I see going on in our world, these days particularly, yields a great deal of discord. I do not feel okay with so much unnatural goings-on - social, political, economic, environmental...

When someone asks me how I am, I know it's a greeting, not a question. And, I know the appropriate answer is, "I'm fine." So, that's what I tell them.

The only advice I can offer, is keep things in perspective, and stay in touch with reality.
You say "unnatural goings on," so if this is related to a religious belief we must remember that all religious books are ancient and can not be fully implemented in a modern world. The basic goodness, yes, by feeding the hungry and helping the poor, but all of the other "religious stuff," cannot possibly be applied because those ancient books were written for barbarians, and cannot possibly be applied in their entirety to a modern civilized society.
Btw: we were all barbarians back then, no matter who our ancestors were.
@calicuz Good advice. Thanks.

I'm not one to lie outright if extremes happen. So I might not say that "I'm fine".

This is evident when I posted about being homeless over a couple of years ago.

Please notice that I said "extremes".

There is a balance of sorts.

If a stranger asks me how I am, I say “do u have an hour?” I won’t lie!

@PhoenixPhail I ❤ Oscar.

Most of us do that because they don't really want to listen to a trueful answer.
@Gibbon That's been my experience.
