I am naturally left handed but ever since third grade all of my teachers had been pressuring me to train to be right handed and through the years I became right handed and forgot how to use my left hand 😂
I am left handed, although I do most things with my right hand. My first grade teacher tried to make me use my right hand. When i asked my parents why, was I doing it wrong they said no. My father went to the school and it never happened again. I have no idea what he said but I found out years later than my mother had her knuckles whacked with a cane for writing left handed. she was left handed until the day she died. And so am I.

If you practice for a bit, it'll probably come back pretty quickly. I'm glad nobody did that to me.
Why would anyone do that? Half my family is left-handed (but not me!) and we've never encouraged them to hide it. If teachers tried to pressurise my kids like that I'd be having a "chat" with the headteacher.
I'm left handed as are many in my family. Any teacher who would try to convert a student's normal-handedness should be fired for incompetence and failing to grasp learning theory.
I was born left-handed, too. The nuns insisted I use my right hand (to the point of tying my left to my chair). But outside of school I rebelled. Today I still favor my left hand but can write equally illegibly with either. 🙂
@bijouxbroussard Hahaha trust me my right hand writing sucks so bad, and my left hand writing is completely illegible now. A moment of silence for the stupidest rule ever invented 😇
