What would you do if a stranger asked to take a selfie with you?

After seeing this question asked in a public chat site now informs me to distrust any pal photo I'm shown as someone's proof they know someone.

Not suspicious but would like knowing why someone would ask a total stranger if they can share a selfie pic together.

Seems weird.
