Mrsbetweenfatandfit When I was in the Grand Canyon not far from the main parking lot on the South Rim, I noticed stone benches on the edge, and when I was there a guide was talking to his tour group, so I snuck in to listen. As we all did, the squirrels ran around begging for food, and getting really close. They jumped on a few people!
People should not feed them, but they do. It always seems to be the annoying Asian tourists. A few time I would tell them not to feed the wildlife and they look at me like the do not understand English (and maybe they don't?). So I shrug and walk away.
