what should you do when someone rings your buzzer at night

i live in a 3rd floor flat, its a 4 story building with 4 floors, and i live on the 3rd...there has been times i got a surprise i wasn't expecting and my intercom buzzer rang at 12 midnight, another time it was pressed after 2am at night and i felt spooked....i never answered it.........but what would you do?

Don't answer the door, but sneakily follow whoever did it home and ring their buzzer.
