What are your hours?

@mindstruggle I hear you. I just finished a three week stint of them. My hours 11:30-7:30am, but it's so unnatural for the body and mind to be awake at these hours, working. The worst part for me is I can handle the entire night, but when I drive home in the sun, I wake up and then spend hours trying to find sleep in the day. It is best if you can eat towards the beginning of your shift and snack thereafter.

@SW-User yeah, I eat before going home so I can just take a bath and sleep.

@mindstruggle Do you do them constantly, or do you swing in shifts? I swing. They say it's better to eat early in the night shifts, from everything I have read. To try and mimic what your body looks for as best as you can. But then again, I listened to a radio program about sleep the other night on my way into work on the night shift, and that doctor was suggesting, eat dinner when you get home to help keep a normal pattern of how you eat when you get home from work as if you were working the day shift.

I felt it bad advice, as any other study/doc I have read, suggests eat early on in the shift. Snack only lightly thereafter. To keep to your biological rhythm in diet and sleep. I have noticed if I have toast and peanut butter when I get home, it helps. Bread helps us sleep?

I entirely agree with the bath. It's the first thing I do when I get home.
