I was the new kid at school to a couple years ago and had trouble making friends because I'm really shy and quiet. My advice is talk to other people who have the same interests as you or can relate to you. Or just make small talk with people and let them get to know you

It may seem obvious but I can already spot many things that would make it hard for me. I'm doing a co-op placement nearly an hour and half away from home, so I basically cut my break in half, and don't see anyone for the rest of the day (I get back home at around 6PM) The second is my anxiety. The third is I don't even know who have the same interests because I never did get to know people. The fourth I can't get to know people because they are all already set in their ways and friend groups, and let's be honest, anyone would rather talk to an already established friend rather than some person that you happen to know of. I've pretty much given up on school. I'd prefer to meet people online or in the community anyway. I feel more comfortable and myself behind a keyboard. But thank you so much for the suggestion. Maybe I can put it into more use next semester. I really do appreciate it.

No problem and I hope you eventually do meet someone
