My left ear is ringing

Doctors and others self proclaimed experts on everything...please ...tell me
What does this mean?
Ontheroad · M
Seriously though, if you have ever listened to extremely loud music, been around equipment that emits high decibel noise, had someone slap your face and got your ear, or like me, been around excessive gun fire without ear protection, you may have ear damage - often referred to as tinnitus.

Tinnitus. Various possible causes, both temporary and permanent. Hearing damage, labyrinthitis, meniere's disease, acoustic neuroma, etc.
