Has the internet and social media caused people to think they are experts on every subject?

I'm not going to blame that one on the internet. The internet might make it a little easier to belive that, but i think the tendency predates the internet by a long while.

Foolish people (me included) have always believed that they know a great deal more than they actually do. It's kind of human nature for fools like me to find comfort in such beliefs.
