If I Were In Charge…

Of youtube and I couldn’t get all ads off of youtube entirely, I would make it so that every time an ad is shown, that company must give their products away for free for every 1 view a video gets. So if a video has 1 billion views, that company must give away 1 billion products for free if just one ad plays. This counts for content creators doing an ad break themselves… in their own videos shilling for a product or service. That way they would lose money and think twice before shitspamming ads. Don’t give me that “bUT aD REvENuE HeLpS COnTEnT cReAToRs” excuse because it doesn’t. They get their revenue from brand endorsements. Not the ads itself. I absolutely hate and despise ads with a passion. This goes into the larger problems platforms like youtube has with their service too but I think all those things are rightfully called out by people but not enough people call out the ad problems. 😠🤬😤
