I Know This Close…

To 4th of july people will raise their eyebrows about what I am posting here, but I don’t really give a shit if you don’t like it. I don’t like veteran charities. On 4th of july they are doing a walk/run charity but to enter it’s $45. Sorry but I’m not paying $45 for that. I don’t care what the charity is. The group that is running the charity is a multi million $ organization 100x over. If you can’t provide help and services for vets with the funds you already have, then a lack of funds, isn’t your problem, your problem is where the funds are going, or who is handling it. This goes for a lot of these organizations and people begging for donations. This particular group (who I won’t name) proudly announces how much money people donated and the amount they make for every fundraiser they do and the amount they bring in on average, is eye watering. It is way more than enough to help the vets. They prey on the high sympathy aspect and emotional aspect of vets and their struggles that they have the gullible think that they don’t have enough funds to support the vets. Absolute baloney. That is why I will always be skeptical of veteran charities. In this country, I will never fully accept the narrative that we are struggling financially when we constantly throw away billions upon billions of $’s every single f ucking year to kiss israels ass like they’re a mob boss. You know, wasting it on things like that, instead of putting it into things like healthcare, education, safety nets or programs that… you know… HELP VETERANS… (the one thing you guys apparently care so much about) or services and care that the people who oppose them, will eventually benefit from while they constantly b itch and whine about how it’s socialism so it’s somehow communism so… then it’s bad and all of that other mind-numbingly stupid knuckle dragging mouth breathing shit they constantly spew nonstop. If this country really, honestly gave a shit about vets, they wouldn’t give them a couple days to celebrate them, they would bend over backwards to make sure they have the best quality of life possible or get the best treatment for mental health, if they need it. They only pretend to be patriotic when they can take advantage of the act of patriotism. But not have to actually be patriotic. You know what the sad and quite honestly the most confusing part about all of this is… it’s the veterans that are keeping other veterans from living their best possible life or getting the help they need. I can’t tell you how many times I hear vets speak ill about other vets behind their back that are struggling to get back to civilian life or need help but are ridiculed or mistreated by their brothers/sisters in arms. It’s a lot. Yet those are the same people that want to fight other people if they don’t say 100% positive things about veterans or they get called out for being jackasses to other people then hide behind them being vets as an excuse to be a jackass. They give the non jackass vets a bad name. Ok, rant over. 🙄
