A Local Store…

Was doing a prize drawing for fathers day. But the problem with these contests is that they weed through multiple names before they find a name they recognize. The person who just won, was miraculously related to the store owners. The community is a small community but still, the odds that the name they pull just so happens to be related to the store owners is still pretty slim without outside interference. I know the community is small with a lot of loyal customers so in most scenarios, they were bound to pull a name they know. But it’s rather suspicious when the winner is someone they both know closely and are related to. It makes it harder and more unfair for people to win that are not related to the store owners. When we did contests like these, we had a 3rd party who was not affiliated with us be in charge of the contest and they restricted family members of ours and or other relatives from entering. That way it would make the drawing more fair. I am the reason they no longer do the golden easter egg hunt contest in our area. If you found this golden egg hidden around town somewhere, there was monetary prizes as well as other cool stuff you won. The reason why I say I am responsible is because I called them out on social media for their blatant cheating. Also just like this time, the “winner” was related to the person who started the contest. They also claimed to find the egg at 11:30pm at night tucked into a cluster of ti leaves. Also, the tree they “found” it in, was in an area where everyone and their grandmother were looking and it would have been the first area searched by people, including myself. We searched the exact spot and exact tree. They gave us hints on where to look. I showed proof to the people who were in charge of that contest that the tree the “winner” claimed to have found the egg in, had nothing in it earlier in the day. I showed them a video of me searching that exact tree too, which was at 7:37am that morning. I remember the time. They blocked me on all social media where I called them out on and afterwards they announced they were no longer doing this contest in the future anymore due to “unfortunate circumstances” which was their own words too. The circumstances they were talking about… was them cheating. This is why I absolutely hate cheaters. I know when people cheat. I have a cheatdar. A radar for detecting cheaters. 🙄
