I Am Playing…
The new legends z-a game. The letters are your rank. So z is the lowest rank and a is the highest. I am currently on the w rank. I am not a fan of the battle mechanics. Or more accurately, I am so used to the battles being stationary and not having to dodge the other pokémons moves yourself. It’s taking some time to get used to. Even the trainer (you) are not immune. If you don’t move out of the way of an attack and take too much damage, you will faint too. The damage meter for you is the same exact way or similar to how the uncharted games did the damage. A red border around your screen which goes up or down based on damage taken or getting away from it. There is also no pp count so instead they do a cool off thing for the moves that you use which lasts for a few seconds. I will say the battles are a little more challenging than previous titles which is a plus. After all these years, I wish they hired voice actors to do the voices of the characters though. I mean, if they aren’t going to do that, then we should be able to skip all of the dialogue. By now, if you have been playing the games for longer than 5 years, you should know how the games work by now. The story is ok. I do like that they’re sort of staying with an open world (kind of) and the story doesn’t seem to be linear so you can do what you want for the most part. All in all, it’s an ok game. I give it about a 6-6.5 rating. My biggest gripe is that when the game becomes compatible with pokémon home early next year, any pokémon you transfer over to legends z-a can no longer be moved back to any other previous game. So it’s basically like moving them from pokémon go ➡ pokémon home. It’s strictly one way. So make sure when you can transfer when pokémon home becomes compatible, that the pokémon that you move over to legends z-a, aren’t ones that you plan to move back to any other game. You won’t be able to. 🤷🏽♀
