@MarineBob @KayeMigoreng depends on how ripe they are. Store bought stuff is often not fully ripe. This last is true for many types of fruit.

Blueberries grow on bushes and like acidic soil.
They prefer full sun, but will grow in partial sun.
They like lots of water.
There are several kinds of blueberries (some tolerate cold while others don't).
Blueberries start out green and then turn bluish-purple as they ripen. The darker the blueish-purple color, the sweeter the berry.
It takes a few years to establish a blueberry bush.
They ripen mid to late spring (at least around here).
1 mature bush can produce 1-2 pounds of fruit, so it's best to plant 3-4 bushes for a good yield.

@KayeMigoreng nothing like a grape but a balanced but less sweet and tangy taste. I don't particularly like them alone as a snack, but they go great in baked goods, in cereals, oatmeal, in youguret, etc.

I used to go to the fruit and yogurt bar at the office cafeteria, and add blueberries and granola to my cup of oatmeal.
Then they saw me do it, and said next time put the blueberries and granola in a separate cup (a condiment cup) so it could be weighed. The bar is sold by weight. The oatmeal cup is a fixed price.
So stingy!
So now, if I want blueberries and granola in my oatmeal, I make sure nobody is looking and add it in the empty oatmeal cup first, then hide the evidence with oatmeal on top. I hope the food police do not catch me!
What's next? Will they want to charge me for the butter, coffee cream, and sucralose that I also add to my oatmeal? Sheesh.

Some can be sour and some can be sweet and juicy sugar like. The small ones are usually sour and the large ones are usually sweet. But sometimes not.
