Question for this Sunday

Does anyone know what is meant by why must a man die when sage grows in their gardens?? thanks for any information.

Had to look it up. I guess people just really used to like sage. Thought of it as a miracle herb. It was the kale of its time. They thought having a lot of sage in your diet would give you longevity.

I think it is a way of saying why did he die so young. Sage is associated with long lives and health.
but i'm merely guessing.
