Italian? 馃え Not my first choice.
Most Italian american restaurant menus are based around pasta.
And most tomato dishes give me acid reflux and stomach bloating and nausea now. I can eat a very small amount and be ok. But things like tomato based soups, tomato based sauces, more then one slice of pizza, roasted tomatoes, tomato based salads, etc are a thing of the past. Makes it hard to eat at a Italian american restaurant sometimes
If I'm lucky I can pick some kind of panzanella (salad) or veal, chicken or seafood served with vegetables. Or some kind of rissoto or dumpling.
I sometimes end up ordering some sort of seafood pasta, because I want to eat the variety of seafood and I put the pasta on my husband's plate. He's pretty happy to get double pasta. Lol.
Honestly, just give me some grilled seafood, and some gelato. Maybe a nice expresso or glass or wine. Let's skip the rest.
