Sharing a bit of my Hot Wheels collection 🙃

I know most people won't be interested in this post & that's alright 👌 maybe there's a few who will 😌 so this post is just for me & those few.

Personally I like Premium Hot Wheels the best since they're more detailed & have rubber tires & upgraded rims. But they cost a bit more. Whereas mainline Hot Wheels are just $1, Premiums are $7 & that's a hard price to even find them for since people CONSTANTLY buy them out for resale. So the value on Premiums are often double the actual price or more.
Hot Wheels also makes "Treasure Hunt" & "Super Treasure Hunt" cars as part of their mainline series. Super Treasure Hunts are obviously the rarest of the bunch. They're extremely hard to find even for diligent collector's.. so a lot of people end up buying them for resale anywhere from $20 to $100. I have never once found one in the store myself & I've never felt a desire to spend a bunch of money on a resale yet 😅 I do however, have two Treasure Hunt cars 😌 they're also rare but definitely not as rare as the Supers. Supers are built with the same quality of the Premium cars, except they have "spectraflame paint" which shines more than the rest of their colors.

I'll start by showing some of my favorite Premiums though 🙃 my '96 Impala, '64 Riviera, '78 Skyline, & '73 Volvo 142

Here's the first full set I've ever completed 🙌 this year in 2024, Hot Wheels released a new line of "Silver Premiums" they're highly detailed like regular Premiums but don't have rubber tires... They do still have upgraded wheels though. This set are Silver Premiums. (Btw, I have two of the BMW 2002 so one of them is opened on display 😌)

I also have some Ultra Hots 🔥 back in the mid-80's, Hot Wheels released an "Ultra Hot" series. They had "spectraflame paint" & unique designs but they didn't last long because that paint is pricey. They didn't make enough money to justify keeping the cars cheaper. They were re-introduced a few years ago for around $4. So as you can imagine, they resale for more.

A lot of collector's have a favorite car or manufacturer they like to collect the most. For me so far it's been Hondas. My favorite are Civics but I'll grab any Honda I see 😌 here's My Hondas so far. Lots of hatchbacks.. the white EK9 Civic & yellow EK9 Civic are "mainline" but since they're highly sought after, they resale for around $20 each. Those are some of my FAVORITE finds as well.

Nissan Skyline GTR's are also VERY collectible so they're hard to find & they resale for high value too. I only have one & it just so happens to be the R33 GTR that I want in real life 🫠 my best friend gave it to me because when he first showed me I got so excited over it. He actually started collecting just so we could talk about our collections together & show each other our new stuff 😌 so we give each other cars sometimes. Anyway.. this one's another mainline that resales for around $20

These next two are just old Hot Wheels that I thought were super cool 👌 the Chevy truck is from the first line of a collectors series in 1996 (it's the year I was born which means this car is almost 29 years old). The green Cougar is a car I had as a kid.. I always remembered it & wanted to find it again someday. Then a fellow collector at a store purposely found it for me after I mentioned it 🥹 what an awesome dude... That one is from 2000 & it's the first edition of that car

These next two are my only Treasure Hunts. Treasure Hunts are identifiable by a small logo placed somewhere on the car plus the packaging itself has a message behind the car that says "Congratulations! This symbol means you just found a collectible car".

I could go on forever about a lot more cars but I've already shared a lot 😅 so these next ones are just some that I think are super cool or unique in design.

'52 Chevy with patina paint 😍
1970 Buick GSX & 1970 Ford Torino 🫠
1972 Ford Ranchero & '66 GTO wagon
Then an '81 Toyota Starlet along with two Mandalorian designed cars. A '70 Chevelle Delivery wagon & '64 GMC Panel van 👌 I've never even seen The Mandalorian, I just liked these cars 🔥

Great collection. How many do you have?

@Sevendays I wish I counted when I had them all out 😶 it'd be a hassle to take them all out again & count them 😅 I would guess probably somewhere between 160 & 200 so far

@ChiefJustWalks it would be something if you had them all on display.

@Sevendays I wanna do that eventually 🙏 I wanna dedicate a whole wall for them but I also don't wanna make my apartment look like a kids bedroom 😅 I might eventually pick a space & do it anyway though
