What my wagon looks like now VS what she'll look like a year or two from now
Here's now
& here's some picture I stole from Google of what I want her to look like
Maybe not those rims exactly but something similar. I already installed adjustable coilovers so I could raise my car or make it lower if I want. Rn it's a few inches lower than stock. I have a touch screen stereo I still haven't installed yet but I could do that whenever I feel like it 😅 I already replaced all 4 door speakers with Pioneers & my next expensive mod will be subwoofers. Then rims will be next.
Over time I'll be doing stuff like touching up the paint, redoing/repainting all the trim, polishing the headlights & taillights (eventually I'll replace those too but for now I'll just clean them). Then I'll be replacing the front bumper, side skirts, & rear bumper with something cooler & cleaner. I might even replace the hood with the GT version & someday when it's original engine gives up.. I plan on swapping it with a newer WRX engine or the turbo EJ20 from Japan. Of course I'll keep up with the maintenance on it too 👌 I wanna keep everything proper, clean, & functional (besides it being low 😂). I'm not in a rush to repaint it since the paint is still pretty clean for it's age but someday it'll get repainted too.
Basically I plan on making my dadwagon look like a super clean piece of nostalgia but still drive like it's new. The other day this cashier at the gas station even got all hyped over my wagon & he came outside just to admire it. He kept telling me to keep it forever & it made me feel proud of her 😌 because he's the first stranger to compliment my dadmobile out on the street 😎 & I hardly even got started

@Wallflow3r is it an R32, R33, or R34 GTR? 👀 R34's are the most expensive & a clean running one can go for around 100k in the right shape. They're all beautiful tbh but I dream of owning an R33 because of its sleekness & attainability
@Wallflow3r both of those are highly sought after & super cool 🫠 the fact that it's a GTR makes it a lot more valuable. I can see why he keeps it. The value only keeps going up on those these days so by the time he has it together again I'm sure the value will be more than what he paid for it
@ChiefJustWalks Well he’s spent $30,000 in parts so far including a new engine so 🤷🏼♀️ seems kinda steep for a car that is in pieces and isn’t even close to running and yes it’s def sought after but he doesn’t have the time or money to get it running so it’s seems just like an empty money pit.. I suppose he could sell it and get some of his money back though.
@ChiefJustWalks The new engine alone was $14,000 so hopefully he does get it running one day it’s his dream and also was his first car that he bought for $10,000 but sadly only lasted him a couple weeks before the engine blew .. so I def have mixed emotions for these sort of cars they are cool but not practical and for a first car it’s a bad choice they don’t seem reliable unless you do expensive modifications..
@Wallflow3r that's why I wouldn't get one myself 😅 the engines in them are crazy expensive because they're so cool but they turn out to be money pits because they always need something new lol. Definitely a cool ass first car but you're right they aren't the best choice for a beginner. The cars are as old as us so they need new parts & those parts ain't cheap since everyone wants 'em 🤷
