Sibling rivalry? Crime Wave?
I grew up in the country, 4 miles from the closest “town” of about 8,000 residents. Titusville, PA. Titusville had its moment in the sun during an “oil boom” and is considered to have dug the first oil well.
The town has withered since then. Population now is estimated at 5,000. Another nearby town, population 526, called Hydetown, is a 6 minute drive from Titusville.
I just spoke to my friend, who has always lived in Titusville. It seems the police attempted to serve a warrant in Hydetown. The suspect opened fire and was, in turn, shot. He’s now gone, although, if avoiding the warrant was his goal, he was successful.
Less than 24 hours later, the bowling alley in Titusville burned down.
People are shook. This doesn’t happen there.
