Had to take a 2 day training course with the lift. I can only imagine the disasters the 3 Stooges would create with one 😁

If you like what you do keep doing it. Think of it as getting paid to work out as a bonus of sorts. Use good body mechanics & ask coworkers for help when needed or advice on how to best do the job. I am not sure how long you're been working there but so far you seem to find it satisfying.

@SlapHappy been 5 yrs ive worked here, but 2nd day with forklift. I was doing the cut materials and shipping or handeling. 6 months on that job particularly.

I sent a guy to just such a course 3 times before an instructor showed up. My guy had forklift training on a standard forklift but needed an extra course so he could run a narrow aisle forklift. Today I had him running a variable reach forklift and ignored the fact that he didn't have a ticket to run one.

@CloudAngel80 I have a number of women that run forklift on my jobs. Some of them are really good at it (like the men) and some are very bad at it (like the men)

@hippyjoe1955 yeah i feel ya, im the ONLY woman on machines or heavy equipment. I was told im a lesser vessel, nope. Just cuz i got less...Dont mean im worthless. I can value myself.

@Magicianzini indeed it is..theres a guy in charge who opens the building, and sets on his computers all day watching the video cameras..then the other guy is HR, he drinks coffee and walks aroubd losing his cup...i thought about for Christmas get him an air tag so if he loses it the air tags can find it..lol theres fun in every job..sometimes just gotta wait on it..or create it! 😉
